In December, Marrakech has pleasant temperatures. During the day, values often reach 18–20 °C, but at night it can cool down to 6–8 °C. So pack light clothing for the day and a warm jacket for the evening. Rain is rare but possible.

For getting around locally: The best way to explore the medina is on foot. For longer distances, there are petit taxis (small taxis), which are cheap. Make sure the driver turns on the meter. Alternatively, you can use the buses, but they are often overcrowded. If you want to go to the airport, a taxi costs about 100–150 MAD (approx. €10–15).

A few money-saving tips: Drink bottled water (not from the tap), buy fruit and snacks at local markets, and haggle in the souks – it’s expected and you can often save 30–50%. For attractions like the Majorelle Garden, it’s worth going early in the morning to avoid crowds.
